WHEN: April 19, 2009 @ 3PM - 5PM

WHERE: Bolsa Chica Wetlands, 3842 Warner Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA

COSTS: Free except for $5 for refreshments if you attend the after photo slideshow

DETAILS: Tour guide Carl Palazzolo has offered to meet people at Bolsa Chica and try out various Canon lenses for free. If you bring your own Compact Flash card, you can take the photos home with you. He will also offer a slideshow and further instruction at his home up the road (5 mins) to view photos of his trip to Africa. No cost for viewing the slideshow but must help pay for refreshments ($5).

This will be a restricted number of members to allow everyone a chance to "play" with the lenses.

Lenses to try: Canon 1 DS Mark III; Canon 1D Mark III; Canon 300 f2.8; Canon 500 f4.

We'll meet at the Interpretive Center. From there we will take a walk, learn about the lenses and practice taking photographs with them. Two cameras will be set up to allow you to practice.

Note:

1) Bring your own Compact Flash card (at least a 2G), own camera equipment (photos while you wait your turn)
2) If it rains, we will cancel!

    •  Carl is very knowledgeable and willing to share his information and equipment! I had a blast shooting his high end Cannon camera and his 300 and 500mm lens. I look forward to doing it again.
    •  Carl is very generous with his knowledge, patience, enthusiasm and equipment.
