Your assignment (if you choose to do it) is NOIR. Dark and grainy with deep shadows, and full of negative human emotions. Traditionally done in black and white, it doesn't have to be. Want some examples? Check out JPG magazine, issue #15, page 54 and see if you can fill a frame with mood and moral ambiguity. Your second choice and the color for the month is RED. Assignment #3: ON THE GO.
NOIR, RED, or ON THE GO: choose one or all three, but please bring no more than six (6) images to share. You may share your photographs as digital files, or as finished prints. Prints should be at least 8x10, and larger is always better.

For future monthly assignments, you might be looking for: Fresh, Lines and Shadows, or Summer Blue. If you have another idea, email or call me.

Spring has sprung and great photographs are all around us. This month you have several choices (3) for your enjoyment. (1) Flowers are in full bloom, domestic or wild, they are colorful and beautiful. Lets see if you can put a new twist on a classic subject. Flowers not your passion? Then you can try (2) Surroundings. To quote JPG magazine: "Places can be more than just locations. The images of meaningful places can evoke emotion, mood, and memory." Please share your photographs of the surroundings that mean the most to you. Our third subject is very simple: (3) Green is the color of Spring. Let's see if you can create a photograph that will turn us green with envy. Flowers, Surroundings, or Green: choose one or all three, but please bring no more than six (6) images to share. You may share your photographs as digital files, or as finished prints. Prints should be at least 8x10, and larger is always better.

The assignment for March is: Two in One. Create a photograph that shows two images in one photograph. You may do this in any way that you please, double exposure, Photoshop, or whatever your little creative heart can conceive. Please bring your best photographs and share them with the group. You may share your photographs as digital files, or as finished prints. Prints should be at least 8x10, and larger is always better.

The meeting went so well in Feb. with out a speaker, I think that we will not have one this month either.
