learn and share skills
semi advanced. working with CS3, I like food photography, low light photography and am interested in learning more about portrait photography and lighting
The only way to learn about photography and grow in skill is to get pit and shoot, shoot, shoot. You can get knowledge about how your camera works from reading a book or sitting at home on a computer but not the experience that lets you properly get the shots. Without the experence, what you learn on line or from books is just theory. Being with other photographers, going out and shooting with them, and seeing their work is inspirational to get out and shoot. it also serves to help us learn how it was done, what was good or bad about the shot and alternative ways to do things.

Locations to shoot in the Longbeach/South Bay area
"Long Beach has quite a few second hand, and consignment shops near the college. Google the old Helms building, they turned it into an interesting antique store. Have you explored Union Station near Downtown Los Angeles?..."
